The Lord strengthened me

“Romantic love is not only a part of life, but literally a dominating influence of it. It is deeply and significantly religious. There is no abundant life without it. Indeed, the highest degree of the celestial kingdom is unattainable in the absence of it” –Pres. Packer

Happy Valentine's Day Friends! You know how I love love and I hope you all had the chance to share in the LOVE OF THE GOSPEL by going to Church yesterday! Haha!

This week my testimony of the priesthood was strengthened. Our Branch President, President Day shared a story about his family who were members of the Willie Martin Handcart company. Those in this company endured some great hardships out there on those prairie plains traveling to Salt Lake City. But this family, the Milton's, were given a blessing by an apostle before they left their home back east. That blessing promised them that none of them would die. And miraculously, none of them did, even their baby who was barely over a year old when they arrived in Salt Lake City. Even though he was skinny enough that they could hold him up to the sun and see red through him... he lived, and became healthy and raised a family of is own. That is the strength of the Lord. We have a member in our branch who is struggling with their health. President Day has been praying for "permission to heal him." But it hasn't been made known to him that it is the Lord's will yet. So we keep fasting and praying for the Lords will to be made known. The power of the priesthood...it's amazing. A brother in our ward, endured cancer and survived and was HEALED after a priesthood blessing. Miracles.

It's amazing, as I was reading in the Book of Mormon this week that a similar lesson, phrase stood out to me, "The Lord strengthened me" ...And how true that is. I know that as we rely upon him and his love that we will find a strength beyond our own.

I love you all!
Dream Big. Wish Hard. Love Always-
